This site is page 4 for the final school assignment.

This site breifly covers about the land combat, including Initiative, Movement, and Attacking.

This is the main content.

Initiative When the Dungon Master (DM) asks for Initiative first roll a d20 and add your Initiative bonus to it. Then, tell him/her the total number that your roll plus your modifier is worth. This is used mostly in combat for the order the player's take their turns in.
Movement Movement is an esential part of combat. It is determined by your race and any other modifiers for your class and/or armor. First, decide where you want to go. Next, look to see if you can make it there with 1 movement. The feet per space will be told to you and your party by the DM. If you can't, and you want to be able to attack without the creature attacking you without moving, move once and get as close as you can to it first. If you want to get to it this turn, you can move twice and use your attack as a movement. This means that you can't attack it this round. Finaly, if you got close enough to it to attack without using your double movement, you can attack it.
Attacking First, be sure you are close enough to the creature to attack. Next, choose what weapon you want to use. After you do that, roll your d20 and tell the DM what you rolled and the DM will tell you if you beat the creature's Armor Class (AC). If you beat the AC, roll your damage die/dice and add your strength unless it is a two handed weapon, and them add 1.5 of your strength.

One you have read these steps, you are almost ready to fight goblins, hob-goblins, mimics, ogres, and more.
